Background Science: On The Origin of Water
Something different
Talking to your folks when you are the only scientist in the family can provide essential clues about what your audience wants to learn.
The other day, I was on the phone with my mother, telling her about a new story I was writing about.
She always has follow-up questions, and I soon noticed that they are often related to her lack of scientific background.
So I stepped back and told her about some seemingly unrelated science that ultimately helped her follow my new story.
Interesting, I thought.
Maybe I’m taking some things for granted, as I’m always surrounded by other scientists. What if I started sharing background pieces of information with my audience?
Here’re where how the idea of the Background Science Section inside Climate Ages was born.
Every Thursaday, I’ll share an interesting piece of content that may not be related to the latest Climate News, but that helps readers have a wider understanding of how our planet works.
Confession: I will be learning new things alongside you!
So, without further ado, a very engaging video on the origin of Earth’s water.
Stay curious!
